STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
(0 – 5 Years)
Role
The Engineer will be involved in a large variety of challenging projects at all stages of investigation, design, and construction. Projects will cover a full range of sectors including residential, academic, cultural, athletic, commercial, and historic buildings. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in new construction projects as well as renovation, adaptive reuse, and preservation projects with existing and historic structures.
Responsibilities
· Structural engineering analysis, design, and detailing for modern and archaic construction including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
· Condition assessments, documentation, and reports for existing structures.
· Coordination of design work with in-house staff, as well as with architectural and other clients.
· Preparation of construction documents using 3D drafting and modeling tools.
· Construction administration including site visits, reviewing submittals, and answering Requests-for-Information.
· Travel to job sites for surveys, investigations, or construction administration.
· Pursue professional growth through participation in professional organizations and continuous learning opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil or Architectural Engineering with structural concentration.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration or the ability to obtain one within one year.
- Experience in the design of building structures.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
